Heyy
I just wanted to say I am FULLY EXACTLY in your position. I take a level Aqa bio and chem and ocr drama and a levels have totally killed me off too and I’m so unmotivated I’m also med and got AAA offer that I like NEED but I’m struggling so hard to like lock in.
My plan is to spend next two weeks on content and then last two weeks on churning out exam papers like there’s no tomorrow. Trust me I’m so stressed too and have no idea if this is gonna work totally panicking as well but hopefully we’ll sort it 🙃

HOW HAVE YOU NOT STARTED REVISING
i have gcse in 2 weeks, I'm like 789 student, but i started revising ages ago.
I know a levels are much harder but that's the point, unless you revise like 15 hrs a day you are cooked

I know its a bit shocking that the student hasn't started revising but doing all that makes the pressure and stress greater, might as well just be positive and encourage the student to keep working and do their best. Don't be discouraging when exams are this close

Try and study for 10 hours a day whether u like it not
It’ll be hard at first
But do this

Learn content
For example watch vids on a certain subtopic
Then let’s say it takes 20 minutes
For 5 minutes as soon as it finishes
U blurt onto a piece of paper
Fill it in and review
Blurt again
Then do some flashcards on PMT, do minimum 5 questions, mark, review
Then repeat for an entire topic
Even if u haven’t finished content, during content learning. Do sections of past papers of topics u just learnt.

Get a mistake log

write down question u got wrong
What u wrote
The right answer
Then summarize into key words

Before u attempt a past paper or same topical question pack, review mistake log for 10 minutes

Listen

Aim for this
Doing 2 past papers
So 2 paper 1 bio even sections of it. Then mark
Review
Do it again
Mark review
Do it again
Do it 3 times a day
So that’s 6 times doing past paper practice
Repeat every day

For bio (not sure about chem) there’s practical questions packs, at least for aqa. On PMT
Do them throughout these last 2 weeks is it. Idek
So yeh
Do that
For maths
U can attempt questions
Then the ones u took too long on or got wrong
Give to chatgpt
Ask it to have the working out (or send working out) and ask it to

Fill in the gap
So there’s working out
Some have been done
Then next step
U do it. And repeat
For each question pack there is
Do at least 2 a day
2-3 times

Focus on repeating these questions u get wrong
And mistake log reviewing before attempting past papers

Past papers repeat 2-3 times

VERY IMPORTANT
have revision bombs
So a day of u learning mitosis
The next day
5 min blurt it out
Can’t remember that’s perfectly fine and good
Because
Ur gonna make ur brain be like oh we’re reviewing again
Must be important
So they remember it in the long term
Anyways yeh
All u can do 👍🏼

Thank you so much for ur help
So would you say its better to finish P2 revision for both chem and bio then revise P1?
I cant decide which way round I should do it - if I do P1 first, I may feel a bit more ready cos its the papers that will come up first but then its revision is defo going to tak longer so what if it takes too long and i wont have time left for P2. But if I do P2 first, what if that also takes long and then I dont have time to revise for P1 (which I find harder for both chem and maths)

Hi sorry for such a long awaited response, i would definitely try whatever feels best but try to do P2 first and then if it takes to long switch between 🙂

it's really easy to fall behind in a-levels, esp when applying for med because you've got so many other things on your plate. next time please try and be a bit more understanding, OP is probably already feeling terrible because of the position they're in and telling them they're cooked when there is still a shot at them getting 3As does not help.

Okay so I take maths edexcel, bio ocr A, chem ocr A a levels so first exam is 4th june
study leave starts in 2 weeks tho
I'm ur average garde 9 at gcses student who has been going downhill from the start of 6th form. and ive applied to med and been accepted at my top 2 unis (london) so i need 3A as a minimum
problem is I'm flopping and havent started revising yet (chem P2 we havent finished content, chem teacher for p1 is RUBBISH and learnt nothing in lessons at all, bio p2 teacher again learnt nothing, maths pure i can bang out but stats and mechanics yh no (ik stats is easy but like its all too similar so its all muddled up and mechanics we have hardly done any y2 content yet so yh thats also nice))
i have no idea what to prioritise
do I prioritise bio p1 cos its harder, or p2 cos I haven't even LEARNT it fully yet. Or chem p1 cos I need a lot of practice on that, or p2 cos ive forgotten all of that as well for y1. or maths pure cos its 200 marks, or stats cos its all jumbled up in my brain, or mechanics cos im so behind?
tbh i feel like both chem and bio p2 can be memorised in a way both p1s cant be?

Hey! 😊

I totally get how overwhelming this feels, I did Maths (Edexcel), Bio and Chem (OCR A) too, so I really do understand the chaos of unfinished content and juggling it all.

First off, getting offers from your top 2 med schools is a huge achievement. That alone shows you’re more than capable, now it’s just about managing the next few weeks smartly.

Here’s a quick way to break it down:

1. Prioritise what you haven’t learnt yet. Get the content covered first (especially for Bio P2 and Chem P2), even if it’s with YouTube videos or quick topic summaries. You can’t revise properly until you know what’s actually on the paper.

2. Save time for the harder, application-heavy stuff (like P1s) after you’ve gone over the content. Alternate between learning and practising.

3. For Maths use Pure to boost your marks if it’s your strong point, and focus on key topics in Stats and Mechanics. Mixed questions will help clear up the muddle in Stats.

4. Don’t panic about not starting earlier. Start now, take it one chunk at a time, and focus on progress not perfection. You’ve got study leave coming, and that gives you space to pull it together.

You’ve got this. Seriously. And if you need help breaking it down or just some encouragement, I’m happy to help! 💪😊

This might not help but gizmo does flash cards automatically if you have PowerPoints it’s saving me currently!
