Urgent!! Stuck between two universities :(

I’ve received offers from both Durham and Warwick university for Psychology (and joint w/ anthropology at Durham).

Honestly I love all sides of psychology so the content of both courses to me doesn’t matter to me much but I’m still stuck between choosing which one to firm. I’ve attended both open days and I loved the campuses and facilities so I guess the last thing to think about is community.

Durham has a bad rep for diversity and I’ve only ever grown up around a mixed group of individuals so I’m worried about not being able to fit in with the typical ‘private school rich kid’ stereotype from Durham. Warwick has a much higher level of diversity but I loved the accommodation (especially shared/common rooms at Durham!)

Which one should I firm?

Do you want to study 'and Anthropology' or just Psychology.
You seem to be focussing entirely on the Uni environment rather than what you will actually be studying.

That’s the problem, either course will be a win for me since they’re both BPS accredited. I love both the scientific side which pure psychology (Warwick course) is focused on, and the social/anthropology side which I can do at Durham. The environment is the only thing that really sets them apart and if I’m going to be there for 3 years then I’d like to focus on that too.

Hi! I can't tell you much about Durham but I'm on a Warwick program and have insured Warwick, and I've spent a lot of time there. It's def got the diverse atmosphere you're looking for! I'm a hijabi and spent most of my life in multicultural areas as well (grew up in east London), and I didn't feel out of place at all in Warwick.
I'm a law applicant not psych so idk about the course, but it sounds like you're happy either way. My friend was stuck between unis, it sounds really obvious but just do pros and cons lists and go to offer holder days and fingers crossed the decision gets easier! I'm sure either way you'll be really happy.
All I'll say is, if you are POC, I have a friend who lives around the Durham area and I've heard it can get a bit difficult in terms of racism. It's a popular uni though so the issue might just be small town, I'm sure the campus will be fine! (It's gorgeous too.)
Good luck!!
