I regret choosing my firm University

I firmed Leeds a month ago but my mum recently had a diagnosis so i would like to go to bristol so its closer to home in case of an emergency and the grades are lower.
I already had an offer from bristol but declined it, would i have to be released into clearing and lose my nottingham insurance in order to accept Bristol? (assuming they give me the offer back)

Just ring UCAS on Monday and ask to โ€œswap my repliesโ€ to switch Bristol from decline to firm and Leeds from firm to decline.
Theyโ€™ll be able to let you know if they have pre approval to make the switch or if you also need one of your universities to give their agreement.

As above and usually very straightforward, but just make certain this really is what you want to do before you make the call.
