Hi there so I originally applied for a tuition loan only, then I added my maintenance loan on top, but I’m only being offered the minimum amount. This doesn’t make sense to me as I haven’t given any information on my parent’s salary or household earnings or anything of the sort. Is there a way to be able to apply for a higher loan based on this situation, where I can provide my parent’s salary?

When did you/your parents submit your household income information?
Everyone gets awarded the minimum first. It normally takes a few weeks after the household income information is submitted before the loan is adjusted upwards

When you applied you would have been asked for your parents contact details for them to login and provide household income information. If they aren’t able to login then you can download a pdf PFF2 form and fill it in with them and upload it to your account

Hi Kat,

That would be the reason why you've been given the lower rate. We'd require your parents to support your application and for you to apply for the maximum amount to assess you for this. When does your course begin? Thanks, Jason
