Sept 2025 Law LLB course at Uni of Liverpool

Hello,

I’ve got an offer to study Law (LLB) at the University of Liverpool and had a few questions I was hoping someone could help with!

First off, does anyone have any advice about the different uni accommodations? I’m looking for something that’s on or close to the uni and a city campus for my first year. I’d also prefer somewhere that’s a bit more calm and quiet if possible. If you’ve got any recommendations or know what the different places are like, I’d love to hear!

Also, any tips for moving to Liverpool and starting uni life there? Anything you wish you’d known as a fresher would be super helpful too.

I’d love to meet anyone else who’s starting the Law course next year as well if you are, please reply! Would be nice to know a few people before September.

And for anyone already doing Law at Liverpool, how are you finding it? Is the course quite diverse in terms of people and different perspectives? What’s the general vibe like? Also, any info about career support, societies, mooting, or internships would be great to hear about too.

Thank you

Hey there,

I have applied to go to Liverpool this year but not for Law so I can’t help with that. However, I did look around the campuses. If you would like somewhere near the city centre, Crown Place is around 10 mins apparently, however I think Crown Place is the more sociable place. I also looked at Philamonic which I think if you’d prefer more clam and quiet that would be your best best. I think that’s around a 10-15 min walk as well so not bad at all. The other two to look at are Melville Grove which is a shared house or Vine Court. I think Philamonic would probs be your best bet from when I went around x

Look at some of the private hall options too, which are often in great locations near campus (and can be cheaper than LU options). Student Roost's Apollo Court and Capital Gate, and IQ Student's Great Newton House. You can state a preference for flats with other first years.
