As far as I know no one at any university has ever failed this course or the PANE exam.

Before you decide on this course you may want to look at how many jobs are currently being advertised. I will warn you that it is not many. It is likely to be very difficult to get a job as a PA after this course. There are a lot of people who have done a PA course who are unemployed.

Dear Flamingo10,

What is happening with Physician Associates that causes the employ rate so low?

Dear Flamingo10,

Too many people on Physician Associate courses compared with the number of jobs available.

The number of universities with Physician Associate courses mean that there are more people studying than there are jobs for them all. This means that most people who do the Physician Associate course will not get a job after the course.

Also the name of the job is going to change. The Associate bit will be likely to change to Assistant. The Physician bit will change to something else too.

The name change is needed because patients get confused and think that Physician Associates have studied medicine and they haven't. Only doctors study medicine.

The important bit though is that there are not enough jobs and most people will be unemployed after this course.
