Warwick Accommodation - Life Sciences

I was wondering if any current or past Warwick students could help me out.
As undergraduate accommodation applications open tomorrow, I’m trying to make a decision about where to apply to. But I’ve got an offer for biochemistry, so I’ll be at Gibbett Hill, which seems to be pretty far away from central campus. I like the look of lakeside accommodation, but people online are saying that’s really far from Gibbett Hill. I was wondering if it would be too far? And would I be at Gibbett Hill for all of my lectures and labs etc, or only some? I was thinking of bringing my bike and cycling-do people do that? And to be honest any opinions or advice and accommodation at Warwick in general would be great, budget isn’t an issue and I don’t want anything super loud or messy.

Anything central campus is ideal - Bluebell (if you have ridiculous disposable income), Whitefields (if it still exists), Jack Martin, Cryfield etc. Lakeside isn't as far from Gibbet Hill as some other accommodations such as Claycroft, but it is a bit out of the way and you will have to bike up a hill everyday. A lot of people cycle, especially to Gibbet Hill. Idk about Lakeside specifically but there are plenty of bike racks all over the place to store your bike.

Thank you, that was super helpful!! I do like the look of Bluebell accommodation but I’ve heard it’s mainly international students. Obvs I have no problem with living with some international students, but I think I’d struggle only living around people who don’t necessarily speak the same first language as me. Is bluebell really as heavily international as people say?

Very expensive. Very international. Pretty antisocial as everyone just keeps to themselves. Very neat though. IKEA vibes, if you're into that kind of thing. If you want an ensuite, they're all pretty much the same, just different amounts of people to a kitchen. Sharing a bathroom isn't as bad as you might think though.

That’s annoying as it seems to be one of the closer ones to the biology department. Do you have any idea if life sciences students have all their lectures/seminars/labs in Gibbett Hill or just some?
