failing physics gcse

very much stressing about failing physics. I already got Us in my last two mocks on higher, and now I’ve been put onto foundation for the real thing. That made me feel a bit better but still.

The thing is: I don’t need it at ALL but I’m still stressing over it and I’ve talked to everyone I know’s ear off about it and they’ve reassured me countless times but I still can’t help but feel overwhelmed about it, including my physics teacher. Plus the thing is, is that I’m passing 7/9 of my GCSEs, including Maths and English. Yet I can’t help but feel anxious in the upcoming week when they start. I know I’ll pass everything else but I’m focussing on the one thing that I won’t in. I need six 5s to get in.

I just need some help in realising that I really don’t need it or shrink my anxiety.

Take a zoomed out look at your life, the Earth, the Universe, everything.
Humans have existed for millions of years. The universe is mind boggling huge and old and will continue to exist for billions of years.
Even on the scale of the Earth, your life will come and go in a blink. And even you become a great and very famous person, along the line of Newton or Einstein, your impact on the Universe will be nothing.

It's amazing that the hydrocarbon molecules in your body have become arranged as they are. And that you have this wonderful brain that's self aware, conscious and vastly superior to all other animals on Earth.

Enjoy the moment. Whilst you have it.
Your time to enjoy life is now. Today.
A big chunk of that enjoyment today will be you challenging yourself to do as well in your GCSE's as you reasonably can.
Take pleasure and enjoyment from the process of cramming your head with all the stuff that will help you to do well in your exams.
Take pleasure from sitting exams. Apart from A levels, and end of year uni exams, there will never be any other time of your life that's like this. This is an almost unique time in your life. Enjoy it for what it is. For the novelty.

And when your exams finish, enjoy the summer. And aim to make it a productive one. Anything you can do to prepare yourself for independent adult life will be time well spent.

And if you fail all your exams, there's loads of paths you can take where you will have a fantastic life.
There's certain paths where failing some or all your exams would be an advantage. The sort of paths where it's better to be a doer than a thinker. Better to forge ahead without fear. Instead of stopping to think of the possible outcomes.

You’re doing great already by passing 7/9 GCSEs, including Maths and English. Physics doesn’t define your future, you’re hitting the mark with the subjects you need. The pressure you’re feeling is natural, but try to focus on how much you’ve already achieved. It’s okay if physics isn’t perfect; you’re still on track
