social research jobs goverment - qualifications?

Currently applying for some GSR jobs, including the grad scene and HMRC. However, I only have an undergraduate degree in archaeology and anthropology. It is from Oxford but I don't think they care about that. I was wondering if anyone has been successful for GSR without a masters or strong social research undergrad - should I stop wasting my time? I'm in the midst of revision so don't want to apply if I have zero chance!

If you're applying to entry level CS jobs (ie AA, AO, EO), they aren't looking for direct experience in the field, everything is assessed on the behavioural framework and core competencies.
You need to demonstrate that you have theability to demonstrate these skills (delivering at pace, team work, etc) this can be from anysort of work experience or volunteering or even from your course.

In your course you would have done some sort of research into a large topic/dataset and turning that into a summary/ argument, that's evidence enough. Give specific examples, exactly what you did and how it turned out (ie what grade, how did it help your assignment). Make sure to use STAR.

And don't be disheartened! CS is very very competitive to get into, and people apply continuously for months to try and get a role...
Also look beyond grad schemes! They are hideously competitive (fast stream had 150k applicants this year....) there are a lot of good direct entry jobs you can get into!
