oh my days, ive just been accepted for this exact program and was hunting to find opinions, it was my first choice however, I emailed asking some questions and they didnt answer a single one almost as if my email hadn't been read with a generic response and it honestly put me off, im also quite upset about them not being a part of SCONUL, do you know if they are planning to join within the next 3 years or have any random insights into the university itself?

I never thought I would go to university so most thing im not understanding (first in my family to even get gcses)

Northeastern does state its not a traditional testing university which confused me and also the chosen modules can be things not related to the course?

Id appreciate any clarification, thankyou!!

Thank you so much for reaching out, and huge congratulations on your offer - that’s an incredible achievement!
We completely understand that navigating all of this can feel overwhelming, especially as the first in your family to take this path - but you’re not alone, and we’re here to support you.

I’m really sorry to hear that your previous email didn’t get the attention it deserved. That’s definitely not the experience we want anyone to have, and we appreciate you sharing that with us.

To help with any questions you have going forward, you’re very welcome to reach out to our Undergraduate Recruitment team at [email protected] - they’ll be happy to assist with anything from course details to next steps.
Just to clarify, Northeastern University London is part of the SCONUL Access Scheme, which allows students to use other academic libraries across the UK. You can find more details here: https://www.sconul.ac.uk/about-us/our-members/
In terms of our academic approach: you’re absolutely right - Northeastern takes a more flexible, experience-based approach rather than traditional exam-heavy teaching. Students also have the chance to explore elective modules outside of their main subject, which helps develop broader skills and interests alongside your core studies. If you have any course-specific questions or want to understand how this works for your programme, feel free to reach out to us and we’ll be happy to help.
Thanks again for getting in touch - and please don’t hesitate to reach out anytime.
