What's Your Go-To Cheap Meal as a Student?

Let's be real, student budgets aren't always pretty. What's your favourite go-to meal that's super cheap but still actually tastes good? I'm trying to level up from just noodles!

Hi @OliverOoo

Honestly, pasta and potatoes are my go-to! They're super cheap and versatile you can make loads of different pasta bakes or switch up jacket potato fillings so it doesn't get boring.

If you live near a city centre, I'd also recommend the Too Good To Go app it's great for grabbing discounted food from restaurants, cafes, and supermarkets. Absolute lifesaver some weeks!

Also, loads of our students have shared their favourite budget-friendly recipes and tips here are some you might find useful:

Baked potatoes and beanz.

On desperate days it was rice and tomato puree - well that's a meal isn't it?
