A-Z of places to go and things to see for new student’s starting uni in Liverpool🤞🏼

Here in Liverpool we are blessed to have three universities in our gorgeous city!

I’m Billie and I study Sociology at Liverpool Hope. When I first moved to the city four years ago I made myself a list of places to visit and recommendations from locals - I tried to visit at least one of these recommendations each week.

I wanted to Start off a thread of things to do and places to see for anyone starting uni this September in Liverpool..

I’ll start us off with a very obvious choice:

A = Anfield- home of the Premier League Champions🏆

@LHU Billie love this idea for a thread! Can’t wait for the LFC victory parade too! 🏆

B = Baltic Triangle it's full of amazing street art (you have to get a selfie with the wings!) Camp and Furnace hosts loads of themed quizzes like Friends and The Office, plus plenty of music events. Red Brick Market is a fantastic place to support local businesses, and 92 Degrees on Jamaica Street is where I went to my first Girls on the Go coffee meet-up a social enterprise helping girls in Liverpool make new friends!

If I can sneak in another one: Bold Street is great for independent shopping, cafes, and restaurants.

C = Cavern Club- Down Matthew Street, its well known for being where The Beatles played and it still has live music playing everyday. Its an iconic part of Liverpool and definitely a must see!

Day Drinking = There are so many stunning bars, hotels and rooftop terraces across the city with the most unreal views. My favourite place for cocktails in the sun is matou. The spacious roof terrace looks out across the River Mersey, Pierhead and the cities famous Royal Liver Building (Three Graces) 🏙️🍸️
