Hey!

I studied ODP at ARU Cambridge, but thought I’d jump in since it’s the same university and I’ve also visited the Chelmsford campus for a field trip to the cadaver lab.

From my experience, ARU is a really inclusive and welcoming place. My cohort was quite diverse, and I found that people were respectful and supportive of one another. There’s a real emphasis on creating a positive learning environment, and I felt like everyone was encouraged to bring their whole selves to the course.

When I visited Chelmsford, I got the same impression, friendly atmosphere, a good mix of people, and a sense that the uni genuinely values diversity and inclusion.

Also worth mentioning that ARU has loads of student societies, including ones based around different cultures, religions, and interests. It really helps create a sense of community and belonging, no matter your background. It’s great for meeting like-minded people and making sure everyone feels they have a place.

So if you’re thinking about studying there, I’d say you’ll likely feel supported and part of the community. Wishing you the best of luck with your journey into ODP… it’s a challenging but incredibly rewarding path!

Sophie 🙂
