Eduqas English Language

So for eduqas English language papers for section A, how can I avoid writing too much for the 10 markers because my answers always go over one page long but all the model answers are much shorter? As an English lit girl I find it really hard not saying too much as we’re told to write a little about a lot, but then how can i mention the technique used and analyse it within a few lines before moving on to the next point? I’m predicted a 8/9 in language so I’m not too worried I just find myself getting anxious in the exam when I know I’ve written too much but still have more to say and I need to get on to the creative writing section. I’ve never not finished but I do tend to rush which makes my answers much weaker than they should be and I don’t want to not get that 9 I believe I can get just because I’m stressing. I’ve practiced a few papers at home under timed conditions and they’ve gone okay, I still just feel I write too much and my good points get lost in a jumble of writing.
So if anyone has any tips on how to condense what I want to say while still getting in good points I’d really appreciate it

this is soo true in my head ive got the structure paragraphs set out for English lit so I like to zoom in on words a lot but English language don't really care about that so my answers tend to get really long but what u need to do is Instead of over-explaining, get to the point quickly but effectively. always stay on topic do point example analysis

Have you planned a story that you can adapt to the prompt? If not you should do that now, memorising really good descriptions that you can always fit in. I don’t think I’m the right person person to help though. If you can, send the story to your teacher and ask them to mark it and give feedback so you can adapt parts that need work before than exam. Sorry I can’t be of more help

Which story title would be adaptable for any creative writing question and that would be a lot to talk about

I really don’t think I’m an expert on English language but I’d just say have a look through some old questions and pick one, making sure you can tweak the ending of the story you write. That way you can include the good descriptions and have an idea of a plot, they you will go into the exam more prepared.
