Btec applied science
Hi I’m currently doing btec applied science and aiming for DMM-DDM overall i have a near pass in unit 5 which is a external exam unit and I’m wondering how bad that affects my overall grade in every assignment unit my current grades are unit 1 pass unit 2 merit unit 3 merit unit 4 distinction unit 5 near pass unit 6 I’m aiming for at least a merit unit 7 merit unit 9 distinction unit 10 merit unit 11 merit unit 12 distinction unit 13 I’m aiming for at least a merit and unit 18 I’m aiming for at least a merit
If I finish the year with unit 5 at a near pass can I still get the qualification and how much points does the near pass get you and will I be able to get a DMM overall

Your BTEC UCAS Tariff Points are total of 292 which is a solid DMM overall.
270–329 => DMM
330–389 =>DDM
390+ => DDD
Conclusion:
270–329 => DMM

YES, you can still get the qualification with a Near Pass in Unit 5.
•
YES, you're currently on track for a DMM if you get the grades you said.
•
If you can turn a few of your Merits into Distinctions, you might even push into DDM territory.
