Hey!
I'm currently studying Sociology with Psychology and Data Analytics at City St George's University of London, and thought I'd share a bit about my experience with the Data Analytics side of my course.
I joined the Q-Step programme in my second year, which allowed me to take a more focused pathway in Data Analytics. I qualified after achieving a 1st in my quantitative modules, and I'm really glad I did it! It gave me the chance to explore data in more depth and apply it to real-world issues.
One of the highlights for me was completing a 10-day placement with an external organisation (spread over 10 weeks), where I got to use what I'd learned in a real work environment. It really helped me see how the theory translate into practise, and made me realise how much I enjoy data work and want to pursue further.
The teaching here is really practical, and City is big on employability, you're encouraged to build real skills that prepare you for a career, whether that's in data, business or research.
