Uni Bristol Accommodation

Hi lovelies! I’ve recently firmed Bristol law and applied for campus accommodation at New Bridewell. Just curious on how strict management is on using rice cookers and mini toaster ovens in the dorm room. Any experience or advice would be great!

P.s. I would love to connect with new Bristol students starting this year 💕.

As I understand it, New Bridewell is self-catered en-suite accommodation arranged in flats with shared kitchens.

You'd need to check the accommodation contract for details on what is or is not allowed.

I would suggest that as a kitchen is provided, you should not be using cooking equipment in your room. If the management find out that you're cooking in your room when it's not allowed, then I suspect it will be taken seriously. It's not something I would risk personally.

Bristol typically doesn't allow use of electric kitchen appliances unless you have been granted permission via medical exemption, mostly due to fire hazards.

Most of the time you'll have to keep them in the kitchen, cupboards provided (and let others know whether they can or can't use it themselves), or keep it in your room and bring it to the kitchen to use there.
