History OCR A level History NEA: Should I appeal?

Yesterday I recieved back my coursework marks back and I unfortunately got 27/40, which came as a huge surprise.
Consistently through the course I've been at an A grade, but this coursework ended up being a B with only a discrepency of 1 mark between the border.

I am incredibly frustrated with the teacher that marked my coursework, as I specifically asked her for guidance however often times she wasn't even very helpful and kept saying "there's not much I can do to help you sorry as it's an independent piece of work". Additionally she even asked me to rewrite the entirety of my coursework in the time span of a month after her feedback from my first draft back in Feburary when the submission was on March 17th.

I rewrote it, at the expense of my mental and physical health and was told after she read one of my finished paragraphs that I was good to go. I don't know if that's the best decision given that appeals can lead to decreased marks. Tomorrow I will be getting my script back.

I would 100% appeal and do whatever it takes to have it done by another teacher. I'd mention the complete difference between the feedback you received and the results. If you have a copy of your coursework before you rewrote it even better as it backs what you're saying. Unfortunately you can't change your work as far as I'm aware and an appeal can only change the mark but it's worth it if it'll give you peace of mind. Especially as an NEA can help where you lost marks in the two exam papers

I do hope that my grade doesn't end up going down, as I do need an A for History to get into my firm university choice

Unfortunately the internal appeal did not change my marks. I have no choice but to make up for the unfair marking in my exams.

I'm sorry to hear that, it is still possible though that you can get a B and upwards across the papers but good luck as it'll require some work. I'd try and see if you can complain about that teacher who did you dirty cause its clear the problem is with them and not their marking and it could prevent someone else suffering the same fate.

Thank you very much, I'll have to work and revise a lot of harder. Thanks for the advice, I will be complaining about the coursework teacher post A levels.
