language a levels?

how big of a step up is a level language from gcse? i rlly love spanish at gcse but i am not a native speaker and idk if it is worth it to take it if it is too hard to get a good grade.
do people who have taken it reccommend it and how hard is it in general? thanks!!

It’s a step up the same way history A level is a step up from history gcse. A levels are generally harder, however they are manageable, you will get the hang of it. The same way you couldn’t do a gcse in year 9 but now you can do one in year 11.

I do French and it definitely is harder as it’s an a level but it’s sooo doable (also, I love it sm). The only problem would probably be the grade boundaries as they’re INSANELY HIGH. However, Don’t let it being tricky discourage you !!

Hi, yes, as the previous person has said the grade boundaries are quite high for a-level spanish which is annoying but it is such an enjoyable subject and i love it sm!! As long as you keep on top of vocab/grammar its not too bad
