Pgce extension and maintenance loan
So I'm halfway through my PGCE ATM.
I've been on it Sept until present and finish placement 3rd July when I SHOULD have qualified.
Due to my mental health 3weeks into my 1st placement I deffered the placement element but I was still in university, attending lectures, submitting assignments etc so still on my course.
I'm currently on my redo of my 1st placement and so much better.
My final placement which will lead to my PGCE QTS will be September to January and I qualify in January.
My course fees are paid so it is only the maintenance element I'd be applying for for three months while in placement 2 (full time Monday to Friday term time).
I've assigned myself I'm not getting anything and hope to be able to work like a dog Saturday nights in a care home to pay the bills, but I'm also conscious I don't want anything to effect my qualifying and I don't want my mental health dipping and working Monday to Friday in school teaching 80% curriculum plus working a paid 12 hour shift on a Saturday night is a big ask for 6 months as I'm a mum aswel.
Hubby is doing all the overtime he gets to help but he's not on the best wage and overtime isn't reliable month by month.
I did have GP notes when I deffered the placement one October to January when it should have initially been.
If anyone can shed light on this it would be much appreciated x
