HELP! What do i wear to work experience at a primary school? It’s going to be 25°C

This is a two day placement…I HAVE NO CLOTHES! My dad said I could wear whatever I wanted but now i’m stressing out. I’m a 17 year old girl but i don’t have any dresses or such. Please help!

Hello,

Think practical for primary school.

So shoes should be comfortable to be potentially standing all day and have backs so they don't come off when you have to run. Lower half should be trousers or longer skirts as you'll be bending down/crouchnig at desks/games a lot. Upper half should be comfortable, nothing low cut and many schools say your shoulders should be covered. Fabrics should be easy to wash as you'll get everything from mud to paint/ink and bogies on them. Don't worry about being fashionable or sylish as presentable and practical are more important considerations.

Hope you enjoy the placement and if you do, consider Education at York 🙂

Hey everyone, thanks for all your suggestions! I went in polo shirts and shorts that weren’t super short and it was totally fine. They were some of the hottest days of the year so far so I think everyone was much more concerned about keeping cool than abiding a dress code!
