Missed the Returning Student Application – Any Chance Rooms Will Reopen?

I am a 3rd year, returning student from my year abroad.
I recently realized I missed the deadline for the Returning Student application for King’s Residences, by a day, and now it looks like all rooms are fully booked. I’ve already registered my interest, but I’m unsure whether that helps at this point.
I’m mainly wondering: does King’s Residences only release any available rooms on the first few day of applications? Or is there a chance that more rooms might open up later—like if someone cancels? I’d really appreciate it if anyone could share their experience or insight on whether there’s any flexibility or priority given to returning students even after the deadline.
Any advice would be hugely appreciated!

Up and until June they will be releasing rooms in batches. Some more should be released but obviously as a third year now that u missed the first day there aren’t many left. I’ve seen a lot of KAAS rooms available but if you’re not eligible you just have to keep checking until either someone gives up their room or a batch is released. I saw some rooms release on Thursdays at like 1-2 so maybe check around then
