Women, What shoes do you wear to an internship in an office? And is the office casual or more formal dress?

Lots of offices say "business casual" which is very unhelpful - I'd recommend dressing smartly but not formally. Wear plain shoes in whatever colour you want, but heels shouldn't be more than an inch in height.

It seems that almost every woman I talk to is wearing white or black sneakers to work or internships. I’m trying to figure out if this is really the current trend and if women’s flat are out of style.

Never seen anyone wearing sneakers lol XD. I guess it depends on where you are and what the formality of the office is. Maybe look at company photos on their website and see what shoes the people are wearing and how formally they're dressed?
