Royal Holloway has beautiful campus but it's law ranking is low (98.) also it's in the middle of nowhere. reading campus is ugly but it's in a fairly decent town

I would say if you haven't already done so then spend a day visiting each university and the surrounding area. Try to speak to students there and hopefully they will tell you the good and the bad. Do not be swayed by any ranking systems as, other than a handful of universities, they really are of very little use. Also look at the course content and see if one looks more to your taste or just more interesting. Would you be interested in a course with a year in industry as Royal Holloway offers that. Whichever you pick it should be the one which suits your needs most and the one where you think you will be happiest.

Congratulations to your offers.

Let your own preference decide, not prestige or rankings. Every uni has its goods and bads and every individual has his/her own percepion. Take a look at the course structures and modules, think about what's your passion in law and which uni's course suits you better.

Don't overly rely on rankings. Some ranking criteria might not be objective, e.g. student satisfaction. Which uni would have higher student satisfaction score? An academically very demanding, strict uni or an easy-going, "lenient" one?

Choose your uni according to your own will. Good luck.

choose Reading. unfortunately Royal Holloway is in the bottom 10 of unis when it comes to law and rankings are EXTREMELY important for Law, especially if you want to work in a top firm. best of luck with your choices!

I'd choose Reading - and if your grades stretch to it, I'd choose Leicester above that.

Hi there!

I hope you're doing well.

It is great to hear that you are considering coming to Reading! I sadly don't study law so can't comment too much on the course in particular, but I can share a little bit about why I chose Reading, and why I am very glad I made that choice.

The location was really important to me. I loved the excellent transport links and proximity to London.

The campus at Reading is beautiful. It is very green and full of nature, and I love going for walks around it in between teaching. The resources on campus are also great, such as the library, co-op supermarket, and student's union.

Another thing I love is the huge range of societies on offer. There are over 200 societies for a range of interests including sports, dance, culture and faith, careers, hobbies and interests, and more. This creates a lovely sense of community amongst the societies.

Either way, I am sure you will have a really positive experience at whichever university you choose to attend. As others have said, I would attending the universities in person to see if you could see yourself studying there.

I hope this helps! Let us know if you have any questions.
