Hi i understand if you can’t say! Do you remember how the MMI was? Were there any group tasks? Dexterity tasks? Thank you in advance!

HI Astrid2026,

While I work for the university, I don't have information about the interviews, but I do know The Student Room quite well and there is a reply to a question similar to yours in this thread here! It's reply number 47 in the thread. I hope this helps!

Thanks
Ffi 🙂
hi Astrid2026,

Since sending the last response, I've found some new information regarding the interviews. you were sent a link in your e-mail, the link contained the location and time of arrival etc, but along with this information it sent info about the prep work for the interview. This is what that page says about the interviews themselves:

Preparing for Your Interview
Recommended Reading
Review the course profile and be familiar with the Standards outlined in the GDC Standards for the Dental Team. There are also a range of on-line materials you can access including an insight into Dental Hygiene from the NHS - https://www.healthcareers.nhs.uk/explore-roles/dental-team/roles-dental-team/dental-hygienist
Previous Experience
It is beneficial to reference any work experience (paid or voluntary) in the health or social care field. Consider organising relevant experience prior to your interview.
What to Wear
Dress appropriately for a professional setting. Smart clothing is recommended, though we want you to feel comfortable.
Support for Disabilities
If you require accommodations (e.g. additional time, large print materials) or have accessibility requirements, please contact us at least 48 hours before the interview.
What Happens During the Interview?
1. Presentation
The interview day will begin with a presentation on the Diploma in Dental Hygiene program, outlining expectations and opportunities.
2. Proof of Identity and Qualifications
Please ensure that you bring following:

Proof of identity: Passport or driving license (original documents only)

Proof of qualifications: GCSE Maths, Science and English certificates (original documents only - photocopies not accepted)

3. Multiple Mini Interviews
We will assess your qualities, values, and motivation for the course, with a focus on how you demonstrate understanding of person-centred care and intelligent kindness. These will be assessed using series of mini-interview stations, each lasting 5 minutes. You will be given reading time and the opportunity to take notes prior to each station. Further online materials you can access to help prepare for the interview can be found below: https://www.blackstonetutors.com/dentistry-mmi-interviews-the-complete-guide/

Hope this helps!
