English Lit advice?

Hello!
For anyone doing edexcel a level english literature, is it possible to get an A grade if you get a B in coursework?
I know it most likely is, but how much does coursework impact your grade?
And if anyone has any sort of advice for exams please write it below!!

hi! since coursework counts as 20% of your grade, i would recommend calculating how many marks you would need on each paper by using recent grade boundaries on edexcel. with edexcel its a bit tricky since the 60 mark coursework is 20% but the 60 mark papers are 30%, so you'll need to do some maths to figure out how to get a specific grade but this might help:
when you see old grade boundaries on edexcel, it will say that the total marks add up to 300, even though it is actually 220, but this is because of the different marks:tongue:ercentage ratio.
coursework = 60 marks = 20% so multiply by 1
paper 1 drama = 60 marks = 30% so multiply by 1.5
paper 2 prose = 40 marks = 20% so multiply by 1.5
paper 3 poetry = 60 marks = 30% so multiply by 1.5

this will all add up to 300 if that makes sense. that way you can use your coursework grade to calculate roughly how many marks you'll need to get an a on the other papers (obviously the grade boundary will be different for 2025 but theres usually a pattern). i hope this helped, good luck!
