Studying at OU from abroad?

Hello everyone.Currently i m study at open university ,recently i ve been forced to move abroad.I ve contacted the uni and they ve asked a higher price to be payed for the module,i ve got an outstanding balance now to be payed.My first module started in february 2025,they ve got some money from the finance ,also mee too ,maintenance loan.Now the question is if they will accept me to continue my studies from abroad and using uk fianance.I ve been asked the student finance and they ve said they ll still fianance me as long as i dont quit and take breaks from uni.Currenlty i m waiting an answer from the uni as they said the will cancel my registration if the rest of balance wont be paid.Bow the question is the uni will still let me study and use finance from uk?also the finance company will upgrade and increase my loan?just worried cause i dont want to stop study now also this will.leave me with debts ,cause the finance paid me and the uni some money.Please if anyone has been in the same situation ,then tell.me whats next or.how to.do next?i ve updated my adress in my student finance account .

Hi Stefy,

If you're no longer living in the UK, you won't be eligible for the finance from SFE. To be eligible for finance for distance learning course, students needs to be studying and living in the UK.

Hi , i ve been asked student finance wales and they ve said previously that if i dont intrerrupt my studies ,dont take brakes and quit they wont gonna stop financed me.The thing is the first day of my study i was in uk ,i was a resident,so i believe they take that as a reason,the problem is the university policy is that students from abroad are charged higher,so they are asking a different fee,the student finance said as they re a uk based university they shouldnt charge me,so now just wate for the student fees from to the uni to take a decision,.
I m wondering if the uni want more money ,i jhope the finance company will change the fee to a higher one and finnance me more.. I dont know ig thats possible.Finger crossed.
