help i think i failed my highers

I'm currently in s5 and had 5 highers. Maths,English,Geography,Human biology and chemistry. due to struggling all year i dropped maths and focused on the other subjects but this never helped i received fails in all prelims which is when i dropped maths and since i felt it would bring some ease but it didn't and i think i'm going to get 2 NA . i have studied so hard but nothing sticks and I'm terrified all colleges and unis will reject me as i want to do engineering and that is a competitive field.
Honestly i just need solutions on how to study better and how to get into uni

Realistically, if you still aren't passing at this late stage, applying to university next year as well as engineering is out of the question. You are also not taking physics, which is pretty widely needed for engineering.
However, you can still try your hardest, study every day to try and achieve a pass in every subject, then resit your highers at a college or at your school next year.

To revise, use flashcards to try and learn the content, then do past paper questions and mark them over and over until you learn the answer. If there are any topics you cannot understand at all, forget about them. You should focus on the easy marks, instead of trying to do too much and getting no marks.

If you do manage to pass your highers this year and resit them next year, then if you do manage to get good grades, there is a chance you can apply to uni the year after and get into engineering, but unfortunately I would say your chances are low.

thanks for the advice. I really wasn't considering uni for next year but i think i have a chance of getting As or Bs in the remaining 2 subjects. the flashcards don't help me at all unless im dealing with english and i have already been using them. i have also tried websites like Thea study and turbo learn.ai but i don't think they work as well as advertised for the level im currently working at genuinely thank you for the advice as i was panicking and remembered i still have a year left

try not to worry too much. im sure the exams will b fine but worst case scenario: if u fail them, u can always take them again next year since ur in s5. also theres always college courses u can complete that r equivalent to school grades.
