Do You Have To Boil Frozen Sweetcorn?

Hey Guys;

Random thought (I’ve done a quick Google search and it appears to be fine but want people’s opinions if they have done this or not).

I am going to be prepping my meals again soon to take with me to work and was wondering but do you need to boil sweetcorn if bought frozen as I was thinking if you can eat it straight from the cob raw, is cooking it essential given it would defrost in time anyway (thinking about it, it just defrosts the corn faster as it doesn’t really require cooking).

EDIT:
Just for clarification, I normally meal prep over the weekend and leave it in the fridge for a few days so I can just throw it in a microwave over the week when I’m ready to eat.

Hi,
As someone who cooks a lot (and just likes sweetcorn) ive found that just defrosting the corn makes it taste a bit weird and not fully cooked, so i normally boil it over a stove or if feeling lazy, put it in the microwave with some warm water for 5 minutes. However, microwaving it can make water spill over sometimes, so i tend to keep an eye on it. But using a stove is a faster way!

you can eat it straight from the packet as a crunchy icy snack on hot days
I am pretty sure you can't eat corn on the cob without cooking it whatsoever, or at least that it wouldn't be very palatable...have you been eating corn on the cob without cooking it?

Tbh, no but I did Google it as I got curious and it is very doable.
