Law essay- memorandum/draft letter to client

Heyy,
Ive finished my coursework for my foundations in legal practice course and im a little stressed. I want a 1:1 in this essay, but its hard to know how to get that while writing a memorandum and draft letter as its more of an informative document to be critical in and use PEEL paragraphs. which would normally get higher grades (i have done this where appropriate)
Also there has been no marking scheme uploaded to look at what they are looking for, for higher marks in relation to this question which is so annoying.
So im just wondering if anyone has had this type of problem question written this way, what approach did they take to get a 1:1.

Thank you so much!!

Hey there!!

All the best for these exams coming up!! I was in the same position when learning to draft legal documents like letter of advice to a client. It was a bit confusing and there is just so much to learn around it as well. I am hoping this general advice will help you a bit on this issue:

Firstly, always attend or try to get notes from anyone who has attended the university sessions that teach how to write an essay or solve a problem question. These sessions are generally held by the universities every year to help students know what the expectations are for the university for these formats. So, this can be very helpful and I suggest you should try them out.

Secondly, speak to your professor! Try to attend a module support hour with them and ask them questions on what are their expectations for these exams.

Thirdly, try to look at some past model papers to learn what has worked, go through the class worksheets, and don't be afraid to approach the professors to ask them more questions.

Lastly, use all your resources available to the maximum potential before having to scout for new information.

I know University of Law certainly does have such abundance of resources and people to approach to get help. Thus, I would really advice that you make use of the people and resources as well.

I really hope this general advice helps you out!
