if i want to resit an assignment (it’s an available option just not posted on canvas yet) who would i email about that in my university? would i email support or head/main lecturer?

Hi,
I suggest contacting your module convenor first, as they will likely have the most information regarding resits and eligibility. You can also contact the department as a whole, but the module convenor is your best starting point.

You generally can't resit an assignment unless you failed the first attempt.
If resitting is an option that's open to you, you would expect to be told what the process is for requesting that resit.
I would start by asking your department/school admin staff -- arranging the resit of an assignment sounds like an admin task rather than something to talk to an academic about.
