Support for Student Entrepreneurs at City St George’s!

Hey everyone! Just wanted to share something that not a lot of people seem to know about, but really should.

If you’ve ever even vaguely thought about starting your own business, CityVentures (City St George’s business support hub) is honestly a hidden gem on campus. They offer loads of free support for student entrepreneurs, even if you're just starting out with a rough idea and no experience.

They run workshops, events, and networking sessions all year round, and one of the biggest highlights is the CitySpark competition. It’s a great opportunity to pitch your idea and actually win funding to kick things off! It's open to everyone, no matter your degree or background.

There’s also The Hangout, a dedicated coworking space on campus where student founders can work, meet others, and build their ideas in a super supportive environment.

You don’t need to have a fully formed business plan, just curiosity and a willingness to learn. I’ve spoken to people who went from idea to startup with the help of these programs. It’s seriously worth checking out.

If you're even remotely curious, go to one of the info sessions or drop by The Hangout. Could be the first step to something huge 👀
