Does anyone have tips for identifying the correct quotes in the sources and avoiding the distractor? Im so awful at the source questions, i either quote the wrong bit or just miss out one word that I needed to get the mark in the comment. Sometimes i get 4/10 and sometimes I get 10/10 for the two source, it’s completely random *cry

If you mean the fishing industry part of the push factors of Scots in Migration and Empire (Section 1), I have this: Fishing Industry - The fishing industry provided many jobs for Highlanders but this industry was impacted during WW1 as fishing in the North Sea was banned. Export markets in Germany and Eastern Europe were lost after WW1 and those in the herring industry became unemployed and many moved to find work elsewhere.

Hope this is what you're looking for

IT WAS AMAZING OMGGGG
all of the russian essays were literally the ones we covered in class
people are a bit sad there was no women but tbh it was kinda obvious they weren’t gonna put it in.
british essays were how democratic and then both the liberal ones

the scottish paper was amazing. the source points were a bit meh, especially for the rent strikes on how fully but it was on society and culture as a whole so i just waffled.

8m on role of scots omg best explain question ever

two source on industry and then evaluate on red clydeside

feeling absolutely blessed right now
