Starting Langley Grammar School in September 2025

Hello, can any person who is currently in/used to be in Langley Grammar School tell me about it? (for example when I will get my welcome letter, how the teachers are and stuff I should know etc)

Honestly, you will be fine.Firstly, you don't need to now anything, they explain everything on your enrolment day. The teachers for the most part are really nice and can actually teach their subjects unlike in many other schools. I'd say the only difficult thing is making friends and settling in initially which you will be fine with eventually, but it's going to be naturally daunting to talk to and meet new people. My best advice is that genuinely express yourself and don't be afraid to talk to people. Also, try and establish a really positive relationship with your teachers from the go and contribute in lessons because they will be writing your references in y13 and trust me they matter a lot. Please pick subjects you enjoy and get involved with as many things you can- after school clubs, competitions, leadership roles, literacy reading, subject fellow etc. They will really help your ps in y13. And use all the resources available and just read read read around your subject!!! Good luck, I'm sure you will have an amazing experience there!!!

Sorry im late, havent opened this website in ages
Its been a full term and i'm having a great time!!
Thanks for your advice i've joined clubs and not been scared to talk.
Teachers are rly nice
