accommodation KCL

I had a few quick questions about accommodation. Right now, I can only see rooms on one floor - do more get released in batches? also as a girl, can I request to live with other girls? and if I book a room now, can I change it later if more options become available?

I was wondering the same thing! On the "change room" option, are all available accommodations shown, like you see when you first book? Or is it a limited amount?

You can only change once. Whatever is available at the time you happen to go in, is what you can change to.
From our experience of doing this, each flat shows age and gender and no of rooms available. So if there are 5 rooms in the flat and 4 are booked by females, you'd be in an all female flat.
If there are more than one room available, you don't know who will book the other room. Hope that makes sense.

Maybe keep checking each day before committing to the change flats as you can only do it once!
What halls are you looking at out of interest?

Heyy when I logged on yesterday i think there were like 8 rooms available for floor 6 hayloft but it didn’t show anymore floors. I’m pretty sure they send out rooms and floors in batches so dw you just have to check everyday to see if they’ve released them

I called them a few days ago with this question and they said you can only see age and gender when you initially book, but as they explained what you see then won't be what you end up with as some of those won't get the required grades on results day so it will all change. If you book you can change at a later date but only once! At the moment the change option is disabled due to lack of availability but I'm expecting this to change on results day. As far as I'm aware you can't choose to share the students to share with as you can with many other unis, such as single sex, loud/quiet etc, muslim etc? We didn't check age/sex when we booked my son's accommodation and panicked as he would like at least 1 other male in the flat but what Kings accommodation said made perfect sense in that things can and probably will completely change on results day and 3 male/3 female could become 1 male/5 female and vice versa or even all male or all female.

For the change room function, you're not letting go of your current booking if browsing but only if selecting a new room right??
