Which uni for mental health nursing?

I’m stuck between doing the BSc mental health nursing at City London and the MSci in mental health and children’s nursing at the university of west London.

City is much closer to me and is quite high on the rankings. The only thing putting me off is the placement locations. They only seem to be in east London.

West London is much further away from me than city. Will take 1hr 15 mins to get there which will probably burn me out at some point. I think doing the MSci would be really enriching and I would have more opportunity within my nursing career. But it is a very intense course and I don’t know if it is THAT worth it?

Thoughts and opinions please? Anything is valuable to me right now!! 😭

Hello,

You'd probably have to leave London but have you considered nursing at York? You'll get the benefits of a research intensive uni which does well in nursing subject rankings plus a cracking city and campus 🙂 You can sign up to our free MOOC if you want to know more.

Good luck with where ever you go,

E.
