Guarantor Help
I have a problem right now, where I don't have a guarantor for my flat next year. I was going to go through housing hand but they require a co-signer which I also don't have. Long story short I'm having family troubles, and I'm distancing myself from them as much as possible meaning my parents aren't exactly willing to help.
All other guarantor schemes I've found ask for a co-signer, so I'm not really sure what to do next. I already have a flat, and flatmates in place, so that's not a problem, and I really don't feel comfortable moving back home for obvious reasons. I can't be considered estranged yet, so I'm in a really weird spot and wanted to see if anyone else had been through something similar.

I'm sorry to hear about your situation this must be really stressful and a difficult time.
I would recommend your first steps to be:
•
contact your uni support team, explain the situation and see if there is anything they can do or direct you to anything that may help you
•
email as many guarantor services explaining your situation and see if they can do anything or help in any way
•
Ask your landlord next year or housing service if they can do anything or if you can pay upfront if you have the money
Your university should be able to help you apply as an estranged student later down the line which may make things a bit more easier so also ask about this!
