Blood science masters at London Metropolitan University

Hello,

I am interested in pursuing a master’s in Blood Sciences at London Metropolitan University. Currently, I am working in a lab in Cambridge and am considering whether to undertake the program part-time or full-time. I have reached out to the university for information but haven’t received a response yet.

Is there anyone who has studied at that university who could share their experience? Additionally, I would appreciate any guidance on where to apply for scholarships.

Thank you!

Hi there! I currently study Biomedical Science (Bsc) at London Metropolitan University.
Your work sounds impressive! Well done on what you have achieved so far. A master's in Blood Sciences sounds really interesting.
From my own experience studying under the School of Human Sciences here at London Metropolitan University, I have found the modules to be really interesting and well organised and supported. The facilities are great; we have a superlab on the Holloway Campus where you carry out your lab work and the staff are really helpful! Overall, the campus has a friendly atmosphere and is close to so many train stations it's easily accessible wherever you're commuting from.

To decide between full-time or part-time I think is a decision that is very much dependant on your needs and goals. Of course, many students study full-time and work part-time but if you would like to work full-time at your lab in Cambridge and study on the side then that is very much possible, too! I think it would certainly be very difficult to do both full-time. So I think it would be worth thinking about which to take full-time dependant on your situation.

As for scholarships, here is a link to the London Metropolitan University website page about where you can look through the ones available: https://www.londonmet.ac.uk/applying/funding-your-studies/scholarships/

I hope this could help a little bit, if you have any other questions about London Metropolitan University please feel free to reach out!! Good luck!
