Drawings on calculator in gcse

title, i know this is probably not going to be a problem but i have igcse maths paper 1 in two weeks and my calculator on the back is full of stupid whiteout drawings my friends have made over the years (no equations/notes obv, the only writing is a few of their names, otherwise its all stars and drawings of our teachers and just silly things)
i used it in mocks and the invigilator didnt say anything but is there a chance this will be an issue for me in the actual exam? board is edexcel if that helps

If you're unsure, maybe see if you can borrow one from your maths department to use in the exam. Or check with the invigilators well in advance.

Honestly, this is one of those things where it depends on the invigilator, so unfortunately you may have a problem.😓
Some can be very strict, other's may just glance at you dissaprovingly.
I recommend just asking your school to borrow a calculator for the duration of the exams.
Otherwise, even if what you've done isn't cheating it isn't exactly academically appropriate, as Technically, JCQ (the body that sets exam regulations in the UK, which Edexcel follows) says that calculators must not have any notes, formulas, or potentially suspicious markings. While silly doodles and names aren’t exam content, an invigilator could theoretically take issue with them if they think it’s a breach of exam conditions—especially if the drawings could be interpreted as codes or if the writing is in areas like under the screen or inside the lid.

Realistically, most invigilators will understand the difference between harmless decoration and cheating. But since it’s an official exam, I’d recommend either:

Replacing or cleaning up your calculator’s outer casing if you can (some white spirit on a cloth might help remove Tipp-Ex),

Or, bringing a backup calculator just in case an invigilator is being particularly strict on the day.

Better to be safe than risk stress or delay when the exam starts.

Speaking from experience, I've been questioned for bringing in a plain flannel for my sweaty hands during gcses, so it's really not worth the fuss.😮*💨
