Library Crush

So i have had a crush on this guy J that goes to the uni library and We aren’t in any classes together and have never spoken directly.
We’re not close enough to message or call, so all of our interactions have been from a distance.
He usually sits within view at the library, though not close to me.
I used to avoid walking near where he sits because I’d get too nervous.
I’ve noticed him looking in my direction before, but I was always too shy to look back or check if it was intentional.

For a while, I wasn’t sure if he even noticed me — or if it was just in my head.
There’s some indirect awkwardness involving one of his friends T; I once sent an anonymous message to that friend (before I knew he had a girlfriend), and I think it may have gotten around.
After that, I started getting weird vibes or stares from the group — which made me more hesitant to be around them. But it seems that they don’t do that anymore and the that guy I texted also seems more relaxed now (after 5 months)
Despite that, the guy i have a crush on J I’ve been seeing him nearly every day recently — except for one day, which left me feeling a bit disappointed when he wasn’t around.
Then something unexpected happened: I decided to stop avoiding the area and walked right past where he was sitting one day and to my surprise as I walked closer, he looked up — we made eye contact for about two seconds — and he smiled at me.
Right after, he looked down quickly. That was the first time we ever made eye contact, and the first time he smiled at me.
I usually get too nervous to hold eye contact or smile, so I was surprised I didn’t look away immediately this time — I actually felt a bit safe because he smiled first.
My heart was racing afterwards — I checked and it was 125 bpm.
That small moment really stayed with me. It felt like a shift — subtle, but real
He has multiple times sat right in front of me and looked at me. And onetime As soon as I looked up and met his eyes, he suddenly banged on the table — not aggressively, but in a noticeable way — like he was flustered or startled.
Another time, he kept walking past behind me while I was sitting, not once or twice, but multiple times — like a loop.
He then went up the stairs nearby and just stood there, lingering for a bit, not doing much — as if he was waiting for something or unsure whether to leave.
On another day, he packed up and left halfway, walking to the stairs — but instead of leaving straight away, he paused halfway on the staircase, looked up toward my direction, and then came back upstairs again.
There’s a strange pattern of subtle behavior, almost like testing the waters — close enough to notice, but never directly engaging.
Recently he seems more active on social media too but I don’t follow him since we haven’t talked yet but he even posted a profile picture of himself and even accepted my follow request from my fake account (the one I used to texted T)

Omg this is cuteeee 🥰 you should definitely try to talk to him more!!!. I think his interested in you based on what you said abt the constant smiles he gives you and how he kept walking behind you while you are studying girlll he totally want to get to know you more and you should definitely try and talk to him because u only live once. so honestly go for at your own pace ofc
