tips and equipment for year 10

hi im starting year 10 in september. i chose triple science, spanish, business, history and engineering. what kind of equipment might i need to buy? my schools website hasnt been very helpful in this regard. my friends sister at my school said that we still use exercise books like in ks3, whats it like at other schools? she also said only geography had ring bindeers - for the subjects im doing might i need them, or maybe file folders instead? also if u take any subjects im doing, tips on them or ks4 in general wld be appreciated thanks in advance

hey!! i dont know much about some of your subjects but i did triple since + french (which isnt spanish... but close enough??)
for triple science i would say either ring binders or books, it depends if your school gives out a lot of worksheets. if they do, then ring binders are definitely easier!! for mfl, we had exercise books and i would recommend those for any writing-heavy subjects :biggrin:

equipment-wise, for mfl you dont really need anything fancy and for the sciences i think you just need a good ruler for measuring the size of cells and stuff for biology, but i think thats it.

and for tips....
sciences - understand the concepts, do practice qs, esp for bio, and always ask qs in class!! i revised for most things the night before (dont do that) and since you have a whole 2 years you should start early.

mfl - revise your tenses and grammar and honestly revising for mfl is pretty fun. when i watched tv shows i put on some french ones (youd put a spanish one i imagine) and if your show/movie isnt spanish, then you can atleast try spanish subtitles. doing that even just once a week helps a lot i think :smile:

for history i recommend the resources at kingsbridge https://www.kingsbridgeeducation.co.uk/ they have so much practice and model answers. Their summary content is pretty good too. Goodluck
