Hey!
if your parents are separated and one lives abroad does anyone know how you fill in the previous address history part of student finance if they are not planning on moving back?

Hi vegemiteaddict

If your parents are separated, we wouldn't need the address history from the parent not supporting the application. Your parent who is supporting your application would just provide evidence of their marital status such as a decree nisi or council tax bill in their name only that would confirm this.

Thanks, Clare

Thanks for the reply but I need to provide my fathers address history as he has lived abroad because of the question
Since 1 September 2022 has either your:

parents, step-parents or guardians

husband, wife or civil partner

lived or worked outside the UK and Islands or, in the case of an EU, EEA or Swiss national outside the EEA or Switzerland?
as i have answered yes i need to provide evidence of my fathers address history. what date am i supposed to put as the return date on his address history if he is not planning to return to the country?

Hi there, I would select the range from 01/09/2022 - present date or 01/09/2022 - 01/09/25 (as this is the start of the academic year for September. Thanks, Stephen.
