I've been approved for a £6,000 maintenance loan, but I've now sent supporting evidence that I'm living by myself in London and I'm hoping to receive more, like around £13,000 last year. I sent my supporting evidence today. The thing is, the first payment is scheduled for May 6th, and if they decide to give me more, as they should, will there be top-up payments, or will I receive the rest in the second payment?"

Hi Hdhshsss,

If you are awarded the higher entitlement amount, you wouldn't get the backdated payment with the term 2 payment, you would get the payment around 3 working days after the assessment is complete and new entitlement letter is sent to you, as an interim payment.
