do you know if we could be asked to evaluate one specific NFO (like assault on its own) or can we only be asked to evaluate ‘NFOs’ in general?

I’m not sure about this either, my teacher has only ever taught us evaluation for them as a whole.

I think you could get asked about either common assault (so evaluation of assault and battery) or the OAPA 1861 all together.
I also saw a prediction gross negligence manslaughter might come up because they haven’t done a scenario on that since before the changes introduced with R v Broughton (2020)

do you think any property offences are likely to come up?

Reply 9

I’ve heard that Robbery might come up, and property offences do come up often, so it’s a high possibility

Burglary was on the 2024 paper so wouldn’t be surprised if it was theft or robbery

any predictions for section a?

does anyone predict that murder may come up? as it hasn't been on since 2022 I think. Also what about the defences - does anyone predict one? as last year was intoxication/automatism and 2023 was duress of threats. Not sure if self defence will come up but it hasn't been on for a while.

I feel like it’ll be on sentencing or magistrates

Also robbery and theft have both already come up 😩 I was looking at past papers today.

Yes i believe GNM will come up too and duress of circumstances and necessity as they haven’t come up before I believe.

The thing about murder is there aren’t many cases and it’s a relatively short topic so it’s unlikely they’ll give the qs of murder on its own and instead they may give like something else in the scenario like break in the chain of causation or smtg.

omgg thats wayyy too niche 😪 hopefully nott, but i do prefer it when they give like 3 different cases embedded in the same scenario
