Uni of Surrey or Uni of Strathclyde for law?

currently in the middle of my IB exams (international student) and i dont think im going to be able to reach the grade requirement my firm choice (Cardiff uni) is asking of me. I have surrey, strathclyde, swansea, and royal holloway to choose from for my insurance. Im leaning towards surrey or strathclyde, but even then I still can't choose between the two. I really need help in choosing my insurance choice! I applied for law in all unis btw

I had law offers from Strathclyde and Edinburgh and accepted Strathclyde! As I liked the course being less exam basses and there being the opportunity to study abroad, have you looked into the specifics of the course as I feel that would help, good luck !

Hello!

It's fantastic that you're considering studying Law, and I understand that choosing your university, especially with your IB exams happening, is a big decision. You're definitely not alone in this!

If Swansea is on your list, I would be glad to share my perspective as a current international law student here. One of the things I truly appreciate about the Law program is its practical, supportive approach. From your very first year, you're encouraged to apply your legal knowledge through activities like mooting, client interviews, and even volunteering at the on-campus Law Clinic. Check out the work we do at the Law Clinic via this link: https://www.swansea.ac.uk/law/lawclinic/ 🌟

The Law School has a close-knit atmosphere, making it easy to get to know your lecturers and fellow students. You receive valuable feedback and support, which has greatly helped me with my confidence and skills development.

Swansea itself is a wonderful city for students: it's affordable, friendly, and located right by the beach 🏖️, so it’s not just about lectures and textbooks! 📚 There are plenty of opportunities to participate in societies (including the Law Society), attend networking events, and receive career support as well.

If you’d like to learn more about the Law course or student life at Swansea, please feel free to reply. I'm here to help however I can! 😊

Wishing you all the best with your remaining exams!
