Changing degree after receiving offers

I currently have all 5 of my uni offers all for English lit and was planning on doing a law conversion. However, I’ve reflected on this more now and would much rather just do a law undergrad degree as I feel like English wouldn’t be the right choice for me. I’ve past the deadline to change any of my offers so I was wondering if there’s any chance if I emailed the unis they would let me swap onto the law course?? I know it’s a lot more competitive so was just wondering if there was any chance? The unis I’d be emailing would be Leeds, Lancaster and Birmingham. Do u think there is any hope 😭

It's worth a shot, but law is a popular subject, so be prepared for "no". Of course please make sure you actually meet the requirements (in terms of subjects and predicted/actual grades) - no point asking if you don't meet it. Be prepared for them to ask you for an additional personal statement.

If they say no and you don't want to do English lit at undergrad, then Clearing may be an option. Alternatively you could reapply with acheived grades in 2026.

You may email the unis. It will be good if they allow the switch. In the event they decline, it will not be the end of the world. A number of RG law went into Clearing last year (incl. Cardiff, Leeds, Manchester, Sheffield).

So check with the unis for the switch, firm and insure your choices. The focus your efforts at the exam fir the best grades. There are chances ahead. Good luck.

If Law is offered at your current Unis, then a switch may be possible - unless they require LNAT.
Email the Unis asap and ask. Just be very certain that this is actually what you want before you email them

If Law isnt offered at your current Unis then your only option is Extra or Clearing - both of which are risky and wont get you a place at a 'top' Law Uni - or reapplying next year to 5 new choices with achieved grades,

It's worth emailing to find out, but chances are they will say no. Clearing in summer will probably be your best option - or have a gap year and reapply although depends if you mind starting that year later.
