Hey there!!
Congratulations on getting an offer with the University of Law. It is an amazing achievement and things will hopefully look upwards!!
I am doing the LLM SQE (1 & 2) programme. The best about the university are the tutors who are amazing and were qualified practitioners, this makes the teaching invaluable.I personally enjoy uni of law and would not have it another way.
It would be a best option to go to an open day and experience what the services offered at the university are. It would also help to go to the Unibuddy website and ask someone doing this course for specific course advise. I really hope that helps!!
The resources and question bank resources are so vast that you will always have revision material to do and improve your practice. There will be over 4000 questions for SQE 1 training and plenty of workbooks for SQE 2 training. The university has been so amazing so far that it is the best when you want to get the training for the SQE exam and also invest the money in a masters at the same time.
Like i mentioned, I always advise attending the open days and talking to students from your intended campus to get a clearer idea of what life looks like for them too.
The concern about the training contract is very real. So, i get that. I would say there are regular career fairs held by the university where top law firms from the city you go to will attend. This helps you meet trainees and get personal advice. This will help you in your journey of getting a training contract.
There is a great careers advisory team as well. They have online appointments and nice advisors who will help you with employability matters.I hope this helps you!! Do let me know how this is going for you and what are your thoughts?
