Do different level 3 results days affect clearing places?

As (i.e) Scottish students get their Level 3 results earlier than most of the rest of the UK, does this affect the number of clearing places massively for other students who get their results later?

I am not asking this to be mean, I genuinely have curiosity as I may apply through clearing to a Scottish uni.
Thanks!

Unis will not know the true extent of vacancies until A level Results Day - so you dont actually get any real advantage if you get your results earlier. Yes, Scottish Unis may be slightly different so you can try phoning Unis if you get earlier results, but they are very likely to tell you just to phone back on A level Results Day. Btw, many Unis will advertise their Clearing vacancies on their websites the evening before Results Day.
