Gay scene in Durham
Hey there,
I got an offer for my master's at Durham University and was wondering if anyone knows what the gay scene is like? Socities? clubs? acceptance? issues? etc
I grew up in a very conservative part of Wales and then moved to a city for my undergrad and loved it and don't wanna lose 'sence of community'. If info would be greatly appreciated!

I have a friend at Durham right now although I am not there myself, she says there are LGBTQ club nights every thursday. Sorry I can't help besides that

Hiya,
Most if not all clubs at Durham have gay night (Ozzys apparantly has the best) and all colleges tend to have a LGBTQ+ society as well as the DU LGBT+ Association and from my understanding there is a pretty good community here at Durham 🙂 It might be worth having a look at the SU page as there's a lot more info on there
