am i cooked ToT?? help

hi year 10 student heree, and im not sure about my gcses. I want to do a levels (bio, chem, maths) but my school only provides 7 gcses (i go to online school) and i have my first mocks coming up next week so i was planning on self studying 3 subjects over the holidays which are:

- Sociology (ive studied b4 but my school dropped it last year) (AQA)
- Economics (AQA)
- Statistics (AQA)
- Religious Studies (not sure abt this one tbh)

is this realistic? is it enough for me to do a levels? can i cover all the content and get preferably 8s or 9s on those subjects? helppp

my current GCSEs are ->
- Combined Science Trilogy (i have no choice otherwise i wouldve done triple)
- Maths
- History
- Business Studies
- English Lit
- English Lit

i would love love looove you if you could give me some advice on this, thank youuuuuu <3

Tbh in my opinion the only one worth self studying is statistics (not sure about aqa, but i did edexcel and it covered the majority of the stats section of my maths a-level). The others wouldn't help with your intended a-levels and in my experience sixth forms don't care that much about how many gcses you have as long as you meet the subject requirements.

As for whether its realistic? No clue, since I have no idea about your abilities. I'd say it's probably not realistic for most people, and even if it is, it seems like it's an unnecessary risk given that it could potentially drag other grades down. If you really want to self study some extra subjects, I'd stick to 1 or 2 (ideally stats, and then probably econ or maybe sociology if you enjoy it more).

i think i'll go with edexcel for the statistics actually, and maybe sociology considering ur advice, i just feel like 7 is a low number compared to most other students so i dont mind getting a lower grade in one extra maybe like econ (which should be easy tbh). i'll focus on my mains as i dont want them to drop ❤️ thanks uuuu i'll consider what u've saiddd i appreciate ittt
